About

Go for the Gold is part of a city-wide movement to support student health and learning.

This effort helps students start their lives on a healthy path
by promoting a few key elements:

  • Healthy breakfast and lunch, and nutrition lessons to support a lifetime of healthy eating habits
  • Time for play, providing the opportunity to learn important social skills
  • Time for physical activity, encouraging a lifelong love of fitness and supporting greater focus in the classroom
  • Teachers and other school staff who value and practice healthy lifestyles, providing positive role models
